Ainsley Burrows
Ainsley Burrows is a former member of the world famous NuYorican Café poetry slam team, and one of the most interesting poets to ever step on a stage. He has recorded 3 bestselling CDs, read at several universities and colleges worldwide, and been featured at festivals such as the Wordstock Festival in New York and the Lancaster Literature Festival in the UK.
Ainsley is the author of Black Angels with Sky Blue Feathers and The Woman who Isn't Was.

Boogieman
Escaping from the attention of his fifth grade English teacher to define himself as a hip hop MC, Boogie returned to poetry in 1995 when he placed 3rd in the National Poetry Slam as an individual and anchored the second place team from Cleveland after just seven performances as a poet. He went on to become the first male to win the National Poetry Slam Individual Championship and then won first place four times on the world famous It’s Showtime at the Apollo talent night and retired having never lost on that legendary stage.

Mahogany Browne
Mahogany Browne has made her name as an eloquent voice for the disenfranchised. Her subject matter often touches on domestic abuse, irresponsible sexual activity and the self-esteem of women. Her talents have seen her tour internationally in the UK, Poland and Germany and she has featured on television in the acclaimed HBO series The Punany Poets, US (1999 2003), as well as been on stage as part of the international project Vagina Monologues, MA (2004).
Mahogany was featured on the original Spoken Soul line up.

Jive Poetic
Starting out in local New York and New Jersey poetry venues, Jive Poetic has slowly carved an international reputation for himself through his humorous wordplay and thought provoking verbal displays. A multiple slam champion, Jive is ranked in the top 10 in Canada, the US, Germany and the UK. He is also the current Bristol Poetry Festival/ Transatlantic Team Slam Champion, Munich, Germany Slam Champion, and was a finalist in the 2003 Manchester Poetry Festival Slam.
